The ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 The Grind has been a tournament of ups and downs for experienced teams. Teams like Global Esports and Team 8Bit have even been eliminated from the tournament.

The BGMI tournaments are seeing fierce competition but amidst the intense battles there seems to be the issue of hackers in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Krafton has put in a lot of effort to ensure no one uses hacks or does unethical practices in the tournament. Players’ point of view (POV) of the matches are recorded and anti cheats are used to ensure no one cheats in the tournament.

Recently a lot of players playing BGIS 2023 The Grind accused Team Mayavi of using hacks in the tournament. Snehil “Snehilop” Saxena a Youtuber provided proof against Team Mayavi using hacks in BGIS 2023 The Grind. Rushindra “Rushi” Sinha, CEO of Global Esports and Shubham “Mayavi” Chawla from Team Mayavi issued statements about the issue.

Rushindra Sinha issues statements on hacking allegations against Team Mayavi

Team Mayavi was recently accused of using hacks in BGIS 2023 The Grind by many teams. Snehil, who provided proof against Team Mayavi, has also exposed many teams in the past that were using hacks and carrying out various unethical practices.

In a recent live stream, Snehil provided proof of Team Mayavi using hacks. He also shared the POVs of other teams who accused Team Mayavi of unethical practices. Snehil accused Team Mayavi and its players of using Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) and Aimbot cheats.

Responding to the issue Rushindra Sinha from Global Esports made the following statement:

“We will investigate and ensure there is no unfair play with the players under Team Mayavi. We have already shared their ID’s and clips to Krafton / TO’s.

Innocent until proven guilty, we’ve gone through thousands of suspicious clips of Manya, Joker, Nakul and Rony from last year as well, we do not act on suspicion alone. If anyone is found guilty then we will take appropriate action. Until then - please stop harassing them”.

“I remember last year as well ‘dozens’ of industry professionals and pros were convinced our team was hacking and had passed verdict and judgement and then they won BGMS on LAN. At that time as well I was sent ‘thousands’ of suspicious clips and same as last year, unfortunately that's not enough conclusive proof. If we started acting on everything just because of social media then the world would be a different place. Thankfully it's not. If we find any conclusive proof we will take action. Anyone who has conclusive ‘proof’ and not suspicious clips then please feel free to send it to us while we continue doing our own due diligence as well. Innocent until proven guilty and not accused or assumed or suspicion of guilt. PROVEN guilty”.

Mayavi from Team Mayavi also responded to the issue. “If you are expecting me to react and respond, I will not. My vision and thinking is above all this. There were many who accused us in the past as well but there was no conclusion in the end”.

If a player is caught using hacks or is carrying out any unethical practices the team as well as the player will be disqualified or even banned from participating in any further tournaments.

Round 2 of BGIS 2023 The Grind has started and many experienced teams are finding it difficult to qualify for the further stages of the tournament.  With these allegations coming forward the fans are worried for their favorite teams’ qualification.
